MTV Girls on Top goes on air from 7th March


MTV Girls on Top – a show about three not-so-adarsh-girls trying to survive in Mumbai – dealing with job issues, love issues and also domestic issues, will be going on air from 7th March 2016, from Monday to Friday at 6:30 PM only on MTV.
MTV Girls On Top is a story of three determined young girls who share an apartment in Mumbai and focuses on all aspects of being today’s modern day Indian woman. The show, a dramedy, will analyze various aspects of being an independent young woman in urban India through lenses of friendship, relationships, career, aspirations and even whims and fancies. Viewers will get to see three young women – TV Producer Isha (Played by Saloni Chopra), Tabloid Journalist Gia (played by Barkha Singh), and DJ Revati (played by Ayesha Adlakha) as they make their way through life in a ruthless city like Mumbai and how they grow stronger together as they face one difficult circumstance after another.

Zee Classic to showcase Bimal Roy’s Devdas


Based on a novel by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay called ‘Devdas’, the movie is a story of childhood lovers played by Dilip Kumar and Suchitra Sen
Some unknown facts about the film are that when Bimalda first offered the role of Devdas to Dilip Kumar, he was hesitant to play the role because he feared the character would be misleading to the youth. The casting for the female leads was another big battle. Bimal Roy’s first choice for Paro was Meena Kumari and Nargis as Chandramukhi. Meena Kumari did not accept the role because her husband laid down certain conditions, which Bimalda did not agree to. Nargis also refused because she wanted to play Paro and not Chandramukhi. Finally, Suchitra Sen was roped in for Paro and Vyjayanthimala for Chandramukhi.
The movie revolves around Devdas (Dilip Kumar) and Parvati (Suchitra Sen) who are childhood lovers separated when Devdas moves away for further studies. When he returns to his village, Paro looks forward to their childhood love blossoming into a lifelong journey together with marriage. However, Devdas’ parents are against the same. What follows is a gripping story of love, friendship, jealousy and pride.

The first in line is Jet Li’s The One on Friday, 12th February at 8 PM. The One is an sci-fi action-martial arts film, written and directed, by James Wong. The movie revolves around multiverse i.e. one person having many versions of himself in other universes. The protagonist of the film Gabriel Yulaw (Jet Li), a former agent  killed one version of himself making the other versions of him stronger. Being power-hungry, when Yulaw found out about this fact, he killed more than a hundred versions of himself within two years. What happens next is an action-packed entertaining story.
Coming up next on Friday, 19th February is a blockbuster, ‘Robin-B-Hood’ starring the famous martial arts action hero – Jackie Chan. ToneTag ties up with Tech Mahindra

ToneTag enables fast, secure and convenient in-store payments through sound waves as well as Near Field Communication (NFC). The ToneTag patented Software Development Kit (SDK) works on any hardware or device such as smartphones, EDC machines, POS devices and even feature phones. The SDK is platform independent, allowing offline contactless payments over the existing payment ecosystem. Since there are no additional hardware requirements to use the technology, this will enable a wider and inclusive ecosystem in which the MoboMoney wallet can be accepted to make digital payments for both online and offline transactions. The ToneTag SDK just needs to be integrated at Merchant and Customer interaction points (POS, Mobile Wallet, Mobile Banking Apps). Payments through ToneTag are offline, hence the customer can pay even without internet.
Creating a simple and accessible digital payment landscape is the primary target of ToneTag. Mobile is one technology that is conducive to such a goal, as 77% of the Indian population use mobile phones and the country is growing to become the 2nd largest smartphone market in the world. Zee Classic to premiere Bimal Roy’s Do Bigha Zamin

Do Bigha Zamin is a story of Shambhu Maheto (Balraj Sahani), a poor farmer and his family in a small village. After years of famine, the advent of rain spreads a wave of joy throughout the region. However, a landlord, Thakur Harnam Singh (Murad) wants to capture Shambhu’s land to set up a mill in the village.
