Zee Cinema to showcase Chennai Express

Zee Cinema, India’s most preferred Hindi movie channel, will showcase the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer romantic comedy Chennai Express this Wednesday, 6th Jan at 8 PM. Directed by the ace entertainer Rohit Shetty, the action comedy stars Shah Rukh Khan as a suave and charming city-bred man coupled with a gracious and talented Deepika Padukone in an all new avatar.

Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), a 40 year old bachelor, embarks on a journey to a small town in Tamil Nadu to fulfil his grandfather’s last wish. He has to immerse his grandfather’s ashes in the holy water of Rameshwaram. Enroute, he meets Meena (Deepika Padukone) hailing from the South. As they find love through this journey, some goons chase them giving rise to a series of chaotic hide-and-seek games. What could have been a mundane journey turns adventurous for Rahul and Meena.

With humorous sequences and action-packed entertainment, Chennai Express is a mega blockbuster that showcases the lives of two individuals whose paths intersect by chance and drastically alter their lives.

India’s premium mass Hindi movie channel – &pictures – is all set to showcase the mega- blockbuster comedy ‘Entertainment’ on Friday, 8th January at 8 PM. With a stellar starcast including Akshay Kumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood and comic icons like Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj and Krishna Abhishek, the movie is driven by none other than a dog, a golden retriever, named Entertainment. The movie is the directorial debut of the duo Sajid-Farhad and boasts of vibrant, foot-tapping and addictive party numbers.

Akhil (Akshay Kumar), an abandoned son of a Bangkok billionaire, finds out that his inheritance has been willed to a dog, Entertainment. After a romantic interlude with his girlfriend Saakshi (Tamannaah Bhatia) in Mumbai, Akhil flies to Bangkok. His best friend Jugnu (Krishna) and Akhil make grand plans to get rid of the dog as it stands between him and his billions. All hell breaks loose when Akhil and his father’s cousins – Karan (Prakash Raj) and Arjun (Sonu Sood) who escaped jail, are all vying the property with plans of their own, resulting in a comic turn of events.

Will Akhil succeed in getting his inheritance? Or will his father’s cousins succeed in getting their hands on all the riches? Will Akhil marry Saakshi? And,  what about Entertainment?

Zee Classic rings in the New Year with the grand musical concert ‘RD Night’

Featuring for the first time on &pictures, S.W.A.T is a lethal combination of deadly action sequences, picturesque locations and an ensemble cast including legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson, Jeremy Renner and Colin Farrell.

The movie revolves around two Los Angeles S.W.A.T. officers Jim Street (Colin Farrell) and Brian Gamble (Jeremy Renner), who is both suspended and fired due to a mishap during a mission. Six months later, Jim gets a second chance to revive his career in S.W.A.T when a new commander is assigned to recruit and train five top-notch officers for a new Special Weapons and Tactics unit.

After weeks of rigorous physical training, the new team is immediately thrown into action when a notorious drug lord, Alex Montell (Olivier Martinez) offers a $100 million bounty to anyone who can free him from police custody.

Zee Classic celebrates ‘9 Days of 90s’

Keeping the festive fervor alive, Zee Classic, adhering to its core proposition ‘Woh Zamaana Kare Deewana’ will present nine superhit dhamaal movies with its latest offering, ‘9 Days of 90s’, to take the audience down the memory lane. Airing every night from Friday, December 25, 2015 at 9:00 PM, the festival will showcase movies like Khiladi, Maine Khiladi Tu Anari, Baagizar, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja amongst others.

The festival commences with the famous action-series movie Khiladi starring Akshay Kumar and Ayesha Jhulka on Christmas Day. A classic whodunit Khiladi revolves around two friends who wage bets for adventure but their innocent prank goes awry and changes their lives forever. On Saturday, 26th December viewers can enjoy Abbas Mastan’s blockbuster thriller Baazigar starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty. Next in the line-up is Sridevi’s power packed performance in Judaai on Sunday, 27th December.

On 28th December, the channel brings Rang starring Kamal Sadanah and Divya Bharti. It is followed by Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja on 29th December starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. On 30th December, the audience will be treated to Ajay Devgn’s Phool aur Kaante. This New Year’s Eve will bring another blockbuster Main Khiladi Tu Anari starring Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Shilpa Shetty.

And the first film in this series in January 2016 is the suspense thriller Gupt starring Bobby Deol, Manisha Koirala and Kajol on 1 January. The festival concludes on 2nd January with David Dhawan’s classic comedy Bol Radha Bol that has Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles.
