Zee Cinema HD, India’s preferred movie destination with an aim of providing superlative family entertainment to its viewers, is all set to showcase the World HD Premiere of ‘Jazbaa’ on Saturday, 26th March at 9 PM keeping its promise of #HDfirst. Riding high on the unique casting of global celebrity icons Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Irrfan Khan, Jazbaa is a high octane entertaining-slick action thriller revolving around the two lead protagonists’ race against time. The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Atul Kulkarni and Siddhanth Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Aishwarya Rai’s comeback performance after she became a mom is interestingly based on motherhood as well. Commenting about the same, she said, “Once an artist always an artist. Whether there is a gap or not doesn’t matter. If I would have done Jazbaa five years earlier, I would have played a mother I would have imagined but now when I play a parent in any film I have an experience, so as an actor the truth, honesty and integrity I bring to the table would be different. Having said that I would have done Jazbaa anytime.”
Post the success of Jazbaa, Irrfan commented, “Jazbaa has been appreciated by the audiences and they have liked my character as well. My character has dollops of one liners and interesting dialogues.”
Irrfan plays a tough cop clad in leather jackets and dark glares, mouthing sassy and satirical dialogues to entertain the audiences thoroughly. Some of his lines which called for applause are “Sharaafat ki duniya ka kissa hi khatam, ab jaisi duniya… waise hum” or “Rishton mein bharosa aur mobile mein network na ho toh log game khelne lagte hain”. His edgy chemistry with Aishwarya is also another highlight to watch out in this otherwise dark narrative.
Jazbaa narrates the story of a prominent and respected lawyer Anuradha (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) who is yet to lose a case, along with Yohan (Irrfan), a suspended cop with much disregard for age old rules. It is their race against time and corruption to save her daughter Sanaya.
